No traveler wants to have a bad in-flight experience. Instead, they want to feel safe with a crew that is ready to meet their needs. Rob Bergeson says Edward Jet Center’s understanding of this need has kept it successful over the last 63 years. “We are very fortunate to have a great core group of employees,” the general manager says. “[They] really understand that our business is based on safety and service.”

Roy Slack believes the mining industry must move toward a system of collaboration in order to advance sustainability, and he is guiding Cementation’s North American operations in that direction. Whether it is exploring all cost-saving options during a recession or ensuring safe working conditions as a constant, Cementation does whatever it takes to make sure everyone who works with the company benefits from its projects.

When the husband-and-wife team of owner Libby Bauman and President and CEO Ben Bauman founded Bolt Express in 2001, they had a basic idea of how they wanted their transportation company to operate. The Baumans had worked in the transportation and shipping industry before and owned a previous company, so they used their expertise to create a plan for Bolt Express that focused on quality service and establishing strong relationships with owner/operators.

Unfortunately for believers of an infamous phrase, rules are not always meant to be broken. Rules, in fact, are a very valuable thing. Traffic laws can save your life and environmental laws are meant to save the earth. But rules always require something of us, things people are sometimes unwilling to give even though not complying could end up costing them more in the long run. Just as disobeying the rules can cause downfall, following the rules can result in success – at least that’s the philosophy Aquatech Dewatering Co. operates by.

For avid wine enthusiasts, nothing is more satisfying than coming home to a well-stocked cellar full of the world’s finest bottles of cabernet sauvignon, pinot grigio, chianti and merlot. Ideally, the area in which these personal treasures are stored should be as sumptuous and sophisticated as the wine taster’s palate. Rows of intricately spaced wine racks made of beautiful all-heart redwood and other premium woods are necessary to properly display a world-class collection, and nobody understands this better than Jim Deckebach, founder of Ohio-based Wine Cellar Innovations.

Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport – owned and operated by Winnipeg Airports Authority (WAA) – is no ordinary airport. It is the eighth-largest airport in Canada, the third-largest cargo airport in Canada, the largest airport in the country in terms of dedicated freighters and was the first North American airport to be registered for LEED certification. According to President and CEO Barry Rempel, it’s also the most fun.

Sherri Stevens knew what she wanted her career to be from the time she was seven years old. “My mother took me on a trip to the Bahamas; it was my first time on an airplane, and I was very captivated by the flight attendants,” she said.

Infrastructure Ontario is embracing sustainability by constructing a technologically advanced facility to consolidate Superior and Ontario Courts justice services under one facility. The Durham Consolidated Courthouse project in Oshawa, Ontario, will serve the judicial needs of the community from one location, rather than from eight courthouses as it previously had.
