For nearly 70 years, Atlas Pacific Engineering Co. Inc. has stayed successful by providing robust machines and treating its customers and employees like family, Roy Molter says. “That’s the working model that has succeeded for Atlas,” he states. “We’re there for our people and maintain strong relationships with our customers.”

Molter is the CEO of Atlas Industries, the parent company of Atlas Pacific, a fruit-processing equipment firm based in Pueblo, Colo. The company started operations in the late 1940s as a catalog manufacturer in Emeryville, Calif.

AMAMCO Tool has built a trusted legacy as a custom solutions provider for more than four decades. A privately held manufacturer of machining tools, AMAMCO has expertise in cutting tools for composite materials that are uniquely specified by aerospace, automotive, marine and other industries. The company serves both private and public customers, as well as U.S. Department of Defense contractors, and its presence continues to grow nationally and globally.

Few companies in today’s economic climate have managed to persevere without making serious compromises in staffing and services, but Salt Lake City, Utah-based Electrical Wholesale Supply (EWS) has drawn on its decades of experience to avoid layoffs altogether. As a result, the company has maintained its solid based of long-term employees dedicated to the success of the firm.

In 2007, David Rosenstein and Steve Abrams purchased Classic Electric Supply of Buffalo Grove, Ill. The two were attracted to the company not for what it was, but for the business they knew it could become. Rosenstein and Abrams saw the opportunity to offer a unique set of services designed to save clients labor and energy while reducing costs in the supply chain.
