Successfully serving the needs of individual electrical operators while handling multimillion-dollar construction clients is no easy feat, but Roger Electric has found the secret to a perfect balance. “Our sales are almost 50 percent from retail and 50 percent from projects,” states Angel Luis Rodriguez, part-owner and vice president of sales and marketing.

Governments are typically built with the intention to last and provide their constituents with consistency for generations. In the Cayman Islands’ capital city of George Town, the new Government Administration Building is being built with the same intentions in mind. Leading local contractor McAlpine Ltd. is building it to withstand a hurricane and be self-sufficient in the event of a disaster.

After more than five decades, Grupo Marhnos stands as a rarity in its home country, Business Development Director Jorge Cerrilla says. “It is pretty difficult to find a general contractor that has been in [business in] Mexico for over 50 years,” he explains.

CYVSA is the leading HVAC contractor in Mexico and the Caribbean for a reason. The Mexico City-based company has completed more than 23,000 installations in the nearly 60 years it has been in existence. It can perform more than 600 jobs simultaneously in any market niche, be it residential, commercial, institutional or industrial. And it has more than 1,700 employees operating branches in Mexico, the United States, South America, Central America and the Caribbean.

No matter what the occasion, a successful gathering requires a good host. As the administrator of the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Fla., Santiago Corrada is responsible for welcoming gatherings of all types to the city – from dance competitions to the 2012 Republican National Convention. Through it all, Corrada says the same welcoming attitude he shows the city’s guests is the same attitude that makes him a successful manager to the facility’s staff.

Grupo Sordo Madaleno is one of the most renowned real estate and architectural firms in Mexico. The Mexico City-based company has been developing and designing landmark projects across the country for more than 70 years. As Mexico has grown in population and progressed with the changing times, so, too, has Grupo Sordo Madaleno.

Being a relative makes you feel like you are in the family business at a young age, even before you actually join it. Although Project Manager Daniel Eduardo Solorzano Rivas has been working at PRINEL S.A de C.V for the last five years, it feels as if he has been working there his whole life. “It is an experience you cannot escape,” Solorzano explains. “When you are young, you are immersed into this business, and before you know it, you’ve been looking at construction projects your entire life.”
